The Two-Spirit Storytelling as Medicine Project, in its essence, is a heartfelt journey of 20 storytellers. Each with distinctive tales and perspectives, these diverse storytellers from the Two-Spirit community will share their experiences regarding mental health, their spiritual connections with their chosen totem animals, and ways to uplift and support the Two-Spirit community.
The storytelling will culminate in a showcase event. Here, each storyteller will present their narrative in a medium of their choice - spoken word, art, dance, or music - embodying the diversity of expressions within the Two-Spirit community. The event will serve not only as an opportunity for the community to gather, heal, and learn but also as a platform for the broader population to appreciate and understand the Two-Spirit journey.
