Help Indigenous Pride LA event & staff!

Please read for Volunteer Expectations:

Instructions & Information

  • First, Check-in with the Volunteer Coordinator at the Information Booth (located at the entrance of the event.

  • Lunch will be provided for volunteers by Indigenous Pride LA. The food will be purchased from the food vendors at the event. If you have a dietary restriction or food allergy, Indigenous Pride LA highly encourages you to bring your own food. We will access to a refrigerator on site to store your food.

  • All volunteers must provide their own transportation to and from the event. Indigenous Pride LA will not be providing any transportation or assistance with transportation for Volunteers.

  • All volunteers must arrive 15 minutes early to their shifts. This is to help ensure that there is a smooth transition between shift volunteers and adequate time for the debriefing of tasks.

  • All volunteers must wear a mask at all times within the event space. Failure to do repeatedly will result in being asked to leave the event. Masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by our partner organizations, Gender Justice LA and United American Indian Inovlement, Inc.  Indigenous Pride LA is helping to ensure the safety of our Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ community members, especially the most vulnerable to COVID-19 and other infections.

  • ALL volunteers are required to test negative before the event. Failure to do so will result in being asked to submit a test result on the day of. Indigenous Pride LA will be partnering with Gender Justice LA who will have rapid COVID-19 testing for those who will need one.

  • ALL volunteers are required to be vaccinated before the event. Proof of vaccination will be required before setup. Failure to do so will result in being asked to leave the event.

​Code of Conduct

  1. No selling of plant, herbal, or other forms of medicines. Indigenous Pride LA is supporting Indigenous lead efforts of eradicating the profiting and extraction of sacred medicines across all communities. Performers who are found to be selling of such medicines will have their applications void. No payouts will be given.

  2. This is a Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+-centered event. Any volunteers found to be harassing, assaulting, or otherwise causing harm to the community will be asked to leave the event immediately and BANNED from any future Indigenous Pride LA sponsored events.

  3. No drugs or alcohol allowed at the event.

Signing Off on Documentation

  1. Once you have completed your shift, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at the Information Booth to sign off on any needed documents proving that you volunteered at our event.
